Getting your CySA+ Education for Cheap

Getting your CySA+ Education for Cheap
Well, let's do this: Around 3 months ago, I took the Cisco CBROPS (200-201) exam and I failed. The score was not that bad -720 but passing was 820-, but then moved on to something else. That something was Comptia CySA+ (CS0-002) and passed the exam. I am not going to lie, it was tough and I believe taking the Security+ and the Network+exam helped me with CySA+. The study material consists of one book, videos from Jason Dion, and some exam prep questions from the book. However, I believe that 20-30% of the material that I learned came from CBROPS material that I studied 3 months ago. So, the study material below is the minimum for you to pass the exam with a Continue reading

Thank you O2O for getting my Security+ certification for free

Thank you O2O for getting my Security+ certification for free
Well I finally received the CompTIA Security+ certification and it's thanks to O2O (Onward to Opportunity). I took the test on February 18, 2020 and received the certificate in March 10. It was a tough test, but I believe that I only studied for like less than 7-8 weeks (5 days each week, each day was like 1-3 hours of study). Therefore, I barely passed the test. I recommend that you take the Security+ topics seriously as the exam cost about $300. I believe I spent 4 weeks on the videos and maybe like 3-4 weeks on the book. But first let me describe how I got a free certification from O2O. I just use a search engine and type "free certification for Continue reading

2020: RIP ICND1 and ICND2
Okay, this is a quick post as I got less than 3 months to pass the CCNA certification’s 200-105 test. So, if anyone who passed the ICND1 test, then you got like less than 90 days to study hard and set an appointment with Vue testing center. If you have not taken the ICND1 or you are barely studying the 200-125 material, then I suggest to wait and focus on the new 200-301. Other than that, this is the free or good value material for people who wants to take the 200-105 test. BOOK ISBM: 9781587205798 The "CCNA Routing and Switching ICND2 200-105 Official Cert Guide" by Wendell Odom is going cheap as in less than 90 days, these books will be obsolete. However, today I will talk about O2O, as I got accepted to get free education and one voucher for CompTIA, Cisco, Oracle, or any other exam that they offer. First, I would like the Schultz Family Foundation and other sponsors for making this possible. Exam vouchers can cost Continue reading

Getting your Network+ Education for Cheap

Getting your Network+ Education for Cheap
It took forever, but I finally got the Network+ certification. Because I also have the A+ cert, I have CompTIA IT Operations Specialist (CIOS) stackable cert. One reason I got the CompTIA Net+ certification was that getting the CCNA certification is too tough. I remember when I took the ICND1 test, I got a low passing score. Therefore, my confidence tanked when I was thinking of taking the ICND2 certification test in the near future. So, I went to a different route: getting the Network+ cert. Below are the study materials that I used and it requires low or no cost to pass the N10-007 test. The study period can range from 5-8 weeks. If you are really good at Continue reading

Cisco Routing & Switching (Scaling Networks) + ICND1 Exam

Cisco Routing & Switching (Scaling Networks) + ICND1 Exam
I have finished the 3rd CCNA: Scaling Networks course and that leaves me with 1 more to go. Also, I took the ICND1 certification test during this time period. So this post will be a 2-in-1 post special. So first, let me tell you the Scaling Networks course that I took at Palomar College, San Diego. It’s tough! In the first 8 weeks of spring semester, Palomar College offers Cisco network class for about $150. I took the other two courses (Introduction to Networks and Routing and Switching Essentials) and I have to say that the coursework is a bit tougher. One thing that I felt that the course is a bit faster and if you need to read a bit more. Sometimes, Continue reading

Getting Your A+ Certification Education for Cheap
I was unemployed for so long, that I had an idea to just get a certification while I kept sending my resumes to many companies. I chose the Comptia A+ as I thought I could easily get the certification in less than 2 months. The goal was to study the 220-901 information for 4 weeks and take the test in January. The goal was to get a score around 800 of 900, use free Android apps, and see what good websites that offers free or cheap online training. At the end, it was doable. So, let me tell you what free training I choose to get my certification. Cybrary is a good place for free Continue reading

CompTIA A+ Student Voucher

This is a quick post: https://academic-store.comptia.org/p/ACADCompTIAA If you are a student and you need to take the CompTIA A+ certification very soon, I recommend the above link. It gives you a discount for one test. The voucher can be used for the 901 or 902 test. If you are no longer a student and need to take the test and you still use your student email, then the discount voucher will still work. Just one problem, this is only for one test and nothing more. So no books or pretest. There are tons of free PDFs on the internet and free YouTube videos that can help you out if you are a bit rusty. Also, keep in mind that in 2019, CompTIA is going to Continue reading
