To Whom It May Concern:
Former US Marine that did two tours in Iraq, I pushed myself in school and now want to help others. My next goal is getting a Masters in 2022 in information Technology and have a career that reflects my accomplishments. I am currently seeking a career that involves information security, information technology, and local-area networks.
The qualifications are that I have certifications that helps small to medium size corporations meet deadlines and be protected from possible data breaches. For example, I have multiple certifications from CompTIA and Cisco that shows how to troubleshoot problems and how to avoid unnecessary risk for work environment. Currently I am working in a hospital environment that requires computers be up-to-date with the latest Windows patches and security updates. Also, my current job requires that any gear (such as laptops that military, civilians, and contractors may need to telework) that has an Equipment Control Number (ECN) must be accounted. If an equipment must be found, I use my skills for locating the item. For instance, I had to find a laptop that was missing the paperwork and I use command prompt to see if computer is in the network and use System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to see last person logged into the computer was. The skills I have gained in last couple of years helped the information management department have a smooth transition for people to telework at their homes.
Now, as of June 2021, I worked at Camp Pendleton’s Navy hospital as a help desk technician. The responsibilities that are required from me is to make sure computer equipment is up and running for doctors and nurses. In the last 15 months, I trained hundreds of people in how to use their software and hardware. One thing that made it easy is to instruct them with simple and clear language; therefore, people would quickly focus on their primary job and not on trouble tickets.
