I wont call this a review, but this 2016 Android Tablet needs to be mentioned. I just want to explain why it justifies the average rating.

This 16GB model Marshmallow Android tablet has many reviews that gets like 3 of 5 ★s. Oh and don't get me started about Amazon customer reviews are like 3.5 stars of 5.

Now I will spare you reasons why this tablet receives an average reviews, but I will try to explain why I bought this for my mother. Its a great alarm clock and does a great job as a digital photo frame. Can I download apps from the play store? Yes, but keep in mind you only have 1gb of ram, so you will experience a slow down if you have too many apps open.

However, there is something that reviews are forgetting about Acer B3-A30 Android experience: bloatware. Sure, you can disable and remove some bloatware, but there was one challenging program that did not allow to be remove or turn off.

You can't disable InMobi program, but you can remove permissions to access data from your tablet in the permissions tab. So if you don't like to be tracked, either limit permissions or skip this tablet.

Then there is the google search bar above icons or widgets. This tablet has limited resolution, so I wanted the google toolbar out. Acer made it harder to move or remove the search bar, so the next solution was using a 3rd party launcher to make the tablet more modern and customizable. Nova Launcher app help me remove the google bar and I think this is the best method to remove search bars that can't be removed.

Is this tablet worth MSRP $129? I think not in 2018, because now I see similar 1280x800 tablets from Irulu or other unbranded tablets with similar specs price around $100. I got this tablet for $55 at eBay, due to be a retail displayed/open box. However, if you want to spend the extra $29, I recommend the Acer B3-A40-K7 model. It has 32gb storage with 2gb of ram.

This tablet is too slow. For the last 6-8 months, it gets slower each time I get an update from Google. With many updates from Google and other apps, its hard to recommend this tablet. Skip it and keep away from InMobi Services or any tablet that has too much bloatware. The Arm processor and the ram is now too weak for today's apps.
